Story
Starting on Sunday 26th April 2020 LUUSWP and a number of different sports societies from universities across the UK are teaming together to raise money for the Leonard Cheshire Disability Society by racing the distance from Dover to Porec, Croatia, where most societies should have been heading for Tour over the Easter break (see our cover photo from Tour last year!)
Each member of luuswp taking part will run/walk as many miles as possible in a 10 day period and log their miles to add up to a team total for the society, and hopefully, we will be the first team to make it the 970 miles from Dover to Porec!
Please give generously - this money will go towards making crucial PPE for social care workers who are currently at high risk in care homes across the UK.
We set up this race in order to raise money for a very important cause in the wake of COVID-19 so that people can contribute to the prevention of the further spread of this virus while adhering to government guidelines (only going for one walk/run per day).
Thank you and good luck to everyone taking part!
