Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  It was the Maggie’s Manchester Culture Crawl on Friday 30th September and it was a fantastic event!

We started our 10k walk at 6.30pm from Maggie's Manchester (by The Christie Hospital) and followed a route that included an Indian arts centre in Rusholme where we received delicious veggie food and a saw a Bollywood dancing display; Whitworth Art Gallery where we became amateur artists in a life class; the RNCM where we saw a concert performed by the Vandepeer quartet; a tour of the London Road fire station and finally the end of the line at Chetham's where we explored the library and displays of historical books.

It was a brilliantly organised event and we received a fantastic welcome at every venue, as well as a great reception from people passing in the street who boosted offline donations. 

We’ve raised over £600 so far, which is enough to pay for a Cancer Support Specialist to provide immediate advice and support for people visiting the Centre. But we’d love to be able to do more!

• £15 pays for one person to attend a nutrition workshop, exploring different food and providing inspiring recipes to help them eat well and feel better during cancer treatment.
• £50 pays for an exercise class for up to 10 people to help build strength and confidence during cancer treatment and afterwards.
• £100 pays for a two-hour Managing Stress session for up to 10 people, exploring ways to relax and find calmness in day to day life when dealing with the challenges of cancer.
