Story

I have decided to challenge myself to run a half marathon as part of The Great Scottish Run on 2nd October 2022. I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone but also to take the opportunity to raise funds for The Beatson Cancer Charity. One of my friends from school, Fraser McAllister, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour in 2020, but sadly passed away in July this year. Fraser had a real desire to raise awareness of brain tumours in young people and I’d like to do this too, and run for The Beatson in recognition of the care and support they gave Fraser and his family.

I will be running this race alongside Ava Gilmurray. My Dad will also be running this to help raise funds and awareness for the Beatson Charity
