Story
Hi everyone,
On November the 18th I will be taking part in what will probably be the most gruelling physical challenge I have put myself through in an effort to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research (see http://leukaemialymphomaresearch.org.uk/). The event is called the Spartan Beast race; a long distance obstacle race. A total of 13 miles with 25 obstacles scattered over the length of the course that will push my physical and mental endurance to its limits (see http://www.spartanrace.com/london-obstacle-racing-spartan-beast-2012.html).
As some of you may know, supporting this particular charity is more than just financial. On April 15 2006 my mum lost the battle against leukaemia. Many of you will have been affected, or know someone who has, by a type of cancer and know the devastating effects this causes to the person and family/ friends. This charity and many others like it are there to fund research in finding cures and more effective treatments. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated by myself, the charity and everyone else affected by a debilitating blood cancer.
I’m aiming big in my fund raising efforts, £1000 is my final target. It’s going to be tough to raise in just under 2 months but with all help from everyone I feel this can be reached. so spread the word, family friends and colleagues...all donations will help!
