Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for reading my story

Perhaps 2021 isn't the year to be asking for donations as after the past twelve months I know times are tough, money's tight, spirits are down, but I'll make an exception in memory of my amazing Mom Joan who we have just lost after being diagnosed with Leukaemia in mid December

Mom spent her life always putting herself last, caring and worrying for others and being utterly selfless, she was a star! Oh and she wouldn't be happy unless she fed you (and all the people who were in tow, the more the merrier)

To say Mom was funny was an understatement, her stories, quick wit and positivity were a gift for all that met her

Mom's stunning nature and the money I raise for Leukaemia Care will see her generosity and spirit live on for others to benefit from, god willing in better Covid free times 🙏

It's not my first rodeo as they say (it will actually be my 6th LM) but I'm not as young or athletic as I used to be, my pace is now deceiving (I'm slower than I look) and I'm built for pleasure not for speed! I'll defiantly pass on the lap of honour this time but I'll take every step on the capitals streets on October 3rd with pride

They broke the mold when they made our Mom and I'll do my best to break the sub 12 hour record in my category "40 something unaffiliated runners with previous experience who like a beer on the night before a race" 😀
