Story
In England 1 in 4 people will suffer some kind of mental health problem each year.
I am among this number.
In 2018 at a low point in my life I was admitted to the Campbell Centre in Milton Keynes – an inpatient mental health unit under a Section 136.
My life since then has been filled with many highs and many lows, more recent events in my life have caused my mental health to decline rapidly which has resulted in severe depression, anxiety and even self harm.
To this day I seek help and support through Milton Keynes Mental Health Services, so now it is time for me to try and give back to the NHS by raising funds to support Milton Keynes Mental Health Services, run by Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, so that they can continue to help many others like me see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Because if it wasn’t for them I probably wouldn’t be here today.
On December 1st 2021 I will be doing a motorcycle ride from Milton Keynes Hospital to Land’s End in Cornwall to John O’Groats at the top of Scotland and back down to Milton Keynes Hospital. I will cover just under 2,000 miles in three days from start to finish.
(Over £2,500 raised on virgin money giving)
The Charity of my Choice is “The CNWL NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund” where all funds raised will go straight to Milton Keynes Mental Health Services.
