Story
During the COVID pandemic lockdown, running has been my saviour. It has given me some clarity, calmed me in tense situations, got me through the end of my PhD and some pretty intense emotional hurdles that have hit our family in the last year.
So when David, Amy and the team at NOMAN told us about the charity, their amazing work at preventing these cancers and the vaccinations, I was excited to represent them at this year's LONDON MARATHON! I've been running more and more since December in preparation and though it's really hard work, I'm confident I can complete it especially if it means we can raise money for this fantastic charity!!
Please donate below if you have any money you can spare to get rid of these terrible cancers and get me across the finish line in October!
In 2021 I will be taking on the London Marathon for the NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV Campaign.NOMAN raises awareness about the HPV-related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for universal HPV vaccination, whilst challenging participants to extreme endurance races across the world.HPV is the causal agent of 5% of all cancers, and over 80% of us will come into the virus at some stage in our lives. We can prevent 5% of cancers simply by vaccinating both boys and girls against this devastating virus.
