We fund research and raise awareness to create a world free from meningitis

Story

This year in support of the Meningitis Research Foundation and in memory Will who died suddenly in January aged 22 from Meningococcal Sepsis, the Hewes siblings, Emily and Ed, and a number of will's nearest and dearest will be running the Hackney Half. Will was one of the sweetest, funniest (and definitely tallest) people in our lives and we will miss him forever. He was the most enthusiastic chef, the loudest singer, the quickest drinker, the best hugger, and the boy with the biggest heart. He was taken from us incredibly quickly, as is so often the case with meningitis and sepsis. We'd really appreciate your donations to raise money for the vital work Meningitis Research Foundation is doing; funding research and increasing awareness, in order to support those impacted by these life-threatening illnesses. Most importantly, we'd love your support to cheer us on and your thoughts to remember our lovely Will.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
