Story
Life will always throw challenges your way. In October I will be running the London Marathon and will not be tackling this challenge alone thanks to the support of family, friends and colleagues. If you are going through a challenge you should also not face it alone.
Samaritans is available round the clock, every single day of the year providing a safe place for anyone struggling to cope, whoever they are, however they feel, whatever life has done to them. For more information please visit www.samaritans.org
Samaritans are always there and have saved countless lives. It is an honour for me to raise money for their cause and even better that my company, Phoenix, will match all donations so every donation you make is doubled!
A little about my running
I took up running just before the first lock down but I have never run longer than a half marathon before so this is going to be a big challenge for me. I have already started training thanks to a training programme drawn up by my Granddad, a former elite marathon runner.
As many of you know, I am a huge Charlton fan and the London marathon route passes through Charlton. Given Charlton sit in their worst league position in 90 years I am extra motivated to offer the only sporting glimmer the area has seen this year.
My aim is to run a sub 4 hour marathon which will be tough for my first time but I would ideally like to be between the 3:30-3:45 mark!
It will be a long journey but I'm so grateful to be able to raise money for such a great cause
