Story

With no doubt the hardest 10 weeks of my life ahead of me, consisting of blood, sweat and no beers! I have set up this fundraising page in aid of my fight in the Jersey White Collar Boxing event with BoxinBusiness on 14 May 2022.

My chosen charity for the event is Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

The amazing fundraising event in the summer, C-R-Y For Kay, organized by a group of my friends which raised thousands of pounds for CRY, has inspired me to do my bit in raising as much awareness and money as possible for such an important cause.

C-R-Y For Kay was a charity fundraiser for Kayode Famoriyo, who at the age of 21 sadly passed away whist playing football with his friends. Kay suffered a problem related to his heart, of which he was completely unaware. The sudden loss of life to someone so young, whilst playing sport is terrifying, and thus this charity serves a very real purpose.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk

If I still have your attention and you are willing to spare some cash and donate to CRY, no matter how large or small, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much x
