We provide specialist services and support to help improve life after brain injury.

Story

About a year ago, as many of you may already know, my older brother Tom suffered from a cardiac arrest, a result of an excruciating battle with depression which led to severe alcohol abuse. He is now in St Andrew's Hospital in Northampton, in rehabilitation from a very serious brain injury. He is up and about and still has that sharp edge of humour that you would all know and recognise. His memory is very patchy and has trouble understanding what has happened. We all stay positive and thankful that he is still with us and making very delicate progress in a place where he is looked after and cared for dearly.

The Headway organisation has been incredibly supportive of my family, especially our parents, and continues to offer help and guidance, as they do to many other families who have been affected by similar circumstances regarding loved ones suffering from brain injuries. This is why I am more than happy and looking forward to running on the 7th of May to raise money and awareness of what these lovely people do for others.

I am totally aware that many people are struggling with bills and having to choose between warmth and food, so if you can't donate, your wonderful support and messages will continue to be appreciated and loved by me and my family.  xxxx
