I’m running the TCS London Marathon in support of Sarcoma UK and my sister who is currently being treated for sarcoma cancer.
I have a target of £2500 to raise for a great cause and I’d appreciate any donations you can afford.
In August 2022, Lianna was diagnosed with sarcoma cancer (myxoid liposarcoma) found via a lump in her leg. She is undergoing treatment at The Royal Marsden and Colchester Hospital with the support of the charity Sarcoma UK.
Her courage and positive attitude to fighting this illness is incredible. In fact, her optimism is what has inspired me to take on this challenge.
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. Sarcoma is very rare, making up less than 2% of all cancers diagnosed in the UK each year.
The rarity of the cancer means funding is limited so every donation makes an enormous difference.
Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community:
• £1 Could cover the cost of 10 texts to the support line.
• £10 Could be used to buy microscope slides to look at cells in minute detail.
• £30 Could fund one hour of use of a high-powered laboratory microscope.
• £150 Could fund the support line for a week.
Thank you for your support.
