Hi I'm Luke

 I'm President of the Uganda Volunteer Project Society at Middlesex University. I am Interning at Soft Power Education in Uganda where i will be helping run the charity from their office in Jinja.  I'll be out there until September.

Every summer for the past 5 years! a group of students from Middlesex university have fundraised to go out to Uganda for one month and help in the construction, refurbishment and painting of schools.

I however will not be going out there for just One month to volunteer but on top of that, I will become an intern for the charity and for two and a half months. I will be working  for the charity helping to manage other volunteer groups at multiple sites in Uganda!

This is my third and final year now and i'm keen to keep the society running for future Middlesex students.

It is the experience of a life time and one i would recommend to anyone. Uganda is a vibrant and beautiful country with lots of work to be done and adventure to be had. If i had not done this in my time at university i would probably never of had the oppertunity to do it again.

All proceeds go towards the construction materials of the site our group will be working on! It's a positive way to know exactly where your money has gone and how it has been used.
