Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my page.
You might be wondering what on earth a skinny, boozy slip of a boy like me is doing, taking on a trek.
Well I'll tell you: I'm doing it for my Dad.
Our Dad passed away earlier this year. He left us far too soon, but he did so much with his 55 years on this planet. He was determined, focused and always looking for the next challenge.
A couple of years ago, he trekked across the Sahara Desert to raise money for Age UK. He really looked out for the elderly members of our family and made sure nobody ever felt forgotten about. He was a bit of a legend like that.
Now I want to take a leaf out of his book and do some good. I will be taking on a 10 Day trek through the Andes to Machu Picchu. It will be hard work, as I'm nowhere near as fit as my Dad, but I'm determined to do it for him.
Please, please, please dig deep and donate what you can. AgeUK is a fantastic charity and they will be able to do so much with the money.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Go on, do it for Peter!
