Event: Northgate URC Christmas Fair, on 13 November 2021
The roof of our landmark Church building is in urgent need of repair. The building has immense potential to become a Community Hub, as well as being a spiritual home for our URC congregation. We need your help to save this valuable historic building

Story

The church means a great deal to myself, Vicki and her family. Vicki and her family have been going to Northgate for 30+ years. I was welcomed with opened arms four years ago. We had our wedding blessed in this church, Vicki and her sister were both christened here and grew up going to Northgate. We want to be able to help by raising as much money as we can. Even if that means running into the freezing cold sea! We haven’t been able to use the church for nearly two years now. There is so much that the church can be used for once we get the repairs done. Any amount goes a long way!

Thank you!

When it was announced that the Church building in Union Street was to be demolished there was public outcry. Why could it not be saved?, It is part of the towns heritage and history. Its shocking!Dont let this happen to Northgate.Northgate Church can be saved but only if the community comes together and makes the funds available for urgent repairs to be carried out Please help to keep the spire in Northgate! Any donations, large or small, will help us to preserve our iconic building for future generations.
