Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Six years ago our friend Lucy was diagnosed with a rare condition called pulmonary hypertension which is a form of high blood pressure in the lungs. It causes the heart to work harder when pumping blood around the body. Lucy bravely bore the illness with dignity and courage, not allowing it to hinder her life, but sadly she lost her fight in April 2008, aged just 24.
As a group, we have agreed to cycle the 50-odd miles from London to Brighton come rain or shine, to raise funds for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. This important charity supports those people with PH and works with medical experts in pursuit of a cure. There are some 4000 people in the UK whose lives are affected by this rare disease - please help us to find a cure faster!
