Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. On 23rd April I will be running the London Marathon for Breast Cancer Now. As many of you know, in 2019 my Mum (alongside 55,000 other women) was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was an extremely difficult time for my Mum, and was mentally, physically and emotionally challenging for her and my family. With the help and support from friends, families and charities, my Mum fought her battle and was able to make a full recovery.
I now feel it’s my turn to give something back. This will be the biggest and hardest achievement of my life but I am so proud to be running for Breast Cancer Now, to help make a difference and support those who need it most. Running has never been easy for me. I can just about manage 5k/3 miles so to be running this almost 8.5 times on marathon day is a CRAZY (and very scary) thought! However when I think back to my Mum's diagnosis and the challenges she, and thousands of others face every single day, it makes me determined to absolutely smash it.
Anything you can donate I am so grateful for and it will certainly help me get to that finish line. Here’s to the next few months of training.. in the cold, dark and wet!
Lots of love,
Lucy x
