Following the huge success of Pint 4 Ashgate, Joan & Lucy are back with a new Guinness Book of Records attempt, all in the aid of raising as much necessary money as possible for Ashgate Hospice. This time the roles are reversed and Lucy will be attempting the Guinness Book of World Records and Joan will be running in Official Pacer Capacity. Lucy will be attempting to become the World’s Fastest Marathon Christmas Cracker to run TCS London Marathon April 2023 💖🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🌎💖

From a personal perspective Lucy is raising money in memory of her Grandmother Alice & Grandfather Fred who both received excellent treatment and support from the Ashgate Team , at the end of their lives. For Lucy this is our way of saying thank you to the hospice for the important and impeccable service that Ashgate Hospice  provided and delivered during those difficult months and weeks. As a family we are forever grateful. 🙏

Ashgate Hospice require 6 million in donations every year in order to keep operating and providing vital services for patients End of Life & supporting their families in the community. For example, £6000 raised during Pint 4 Ashgate equates to the equivalent of 612 meals for patients on Ashgate’s inpatient unit, or 245 bereavement support sessions for the families and children of their patients, or 122 home visits by one of Ashgate’s community nurses.
