Story
I came across Shooting Stars when presenting a gala dinner to raise money for them. The representatives of the charity were so lovely, and hearing the stories of the phonominal families that came through their doors, and how these remarkable key workers suported them, it touched me and I felt I wanted to help in some way.
Dave my Jack Russel and I love our long walks together discovering new routes, and during this unpresidented time when I am able to do so, it was a no brainer to use this time for a good cause!
Shooting Stars were due to have their annual Sunrise Walk in Richmond. Those of you that know me well know I am a TERRIBLE morning person :( .... Unless it is for a good reason- like a 10k for Shooting stars!! : )
This will take place in May 17th or 24th( keep up dated on my posts!) Every step I take will help make every moment count for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Now in it's eighth year, the Sunrise Walk has so far attracted over 2,700 walkers who have raised an impressive £470,000. By taking part in Sunrise Walk Richmond 2020 Dave & I can help them reach their target of £70,000 so they can continue to provide a lifeline to families living in unimaginable circumstances.
