Our Blue Light Charity
The charity was formed in April 2018 to support colleagues and their families across the emergency and essential services.
We want to help to enable a culture where colleagues feel comfortable talking about their mental health both at home and in the workplace. We aim to work alongside the services to:
Run mental health awareness campaigns
Help remove the stigma associated with mental health
Provide training / awareness sessions
Networking-We will be organising network events around the country to work closely with all emergency and essential service employers and wellbeing champions. These events aim to develop wellbeing activities in the workplace and share key messages around mental health.
Events- We will be run events throughout 2019 such as Dance Your Blues Away, Mental Health Relay and Three Peaks walks. We value everyones support with such events and welcome suggestions from colleagues to develop future events.
