On 29th June 2012 Jade & I will be jumping out of a plane at 13,000 ft, attached to big, strong (hopefully sexual) men, who know what they are doing!!!

While Jade is raising money for Depression Alliance, a charity who work to relieve and prevent depression in the UK. I have decided to raise money for Alzhemiers Reseach UK in memory of my Grandad John, aka Pops.

Pops died on the 23rd December last year. He was 91 years young, and in the last few years of his life he suffered mutiple 'mini' strokes which led to the onset of vascular dementia. A disease which eventually took his life. Dementia is a terrible disease, in any form. Towards the end, Pops was not the man he used to be or deserved to be.

 

Dementia affects 820,000 people in the UK. 25 million of the UK population have a close friend or family member with dementia.

 

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. They specialise in funding world-class, pioneering research at leading universities to find preventions, treatments and a cure for dementia.

 

So please dontate what you can and if not at least just pray that I get a Beckham look alike as my tandem instructor, that'll do nicely!!!
