My first “real race” was the Great North Run in 1998 and then again in 1999. It wasn’t until 2005 when I  tried the full marathon! The first one was London and as everone knows, you cross the line and say never again.... but that it simply not possible... So why now the 10 in 10... for 2 reasons... the Brathay marathon was a place that I put to bed my demons of my 2007 London marathon when  I didn’t finish…. So after my recovery, I looked for a race to do, and the first Brathay marathon fitted the bill. At this race, I saw the first 10 in 10ers... and was inspired to raise some money for such a great cause and thought some day...  So now is the time... well hopefully! Any small donation will help :0)
