I decided to take on the challenge of the York 10k on 6th August 2023 following the loss of my dear friend Rachel who lost her brave fight with cancer in April this year. Anyone who knew Rachel was touched by her kindness and love.

Rachel was an amazing friend, always there with a smile and a hug, and genuine heartfelt advice when anyone needed it. She was all about helping others, even when she was facing life's challenges.


This year Rachel's choir, The Stamford Bridge Community Choir, are making a special fundraising effort to support York Against Cancer in Rachel’s memory, I hope to add to the fundraising total taking part in the 10k this summer - running alongside my friend Emma.
