Story
On 29th June I have decided to walk from Galley Hill in Bexhill to Beachy Head in Eastbourne, a total of 13.1 miles (the distance of a half marathon) to raise money for South Central Ambulance Service Charity.
It is a service I am passionate about and proud to be a part of and would like to be able to give something back.
The charity funds equipment, uniform and training for community first responders and co-responders and also helps to create better working environments for frontline staff. None of these areas receive any NHS funding and rely on the public generosity to support them.
With the increasing challenges being faced currently by staff and volunteers SCAS charity are campaigning to raise funds so they can continue to support them over the coming months and years. With so much uncertainty and many of the fundraising opportunities cancelled for this year, now more than ever SCAS charity needs your help to continue to support staff and community first responders.
I hope that in fundraising for this charity I will also raise awareness of the hard work that all SCAS employees do.
Thank you in advance for any donations given.
