Story
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
In April this year we will be running (and hopefully completing) the London Marathon, in order to raise funds for research in to two similarly dreadful diseases, namely Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
PSP is a frightening and degenerative brain disease with an unknown cause that has the potential to affect any one of us. The PSP Association (PSPA) are a small charity who rely entirely on voluntary donations.
The MND Association (MNDA) is another charity that is very close to our hearts. Death usually occurs within three years of diagnosis. There is no cure. After a brief and horrific illness, our dear friend Simon Jennings (SJ), passed away from Motor Neurone Disease in 2017. We are proud to be running in memory of SJ for both of these great causes.
Lucy will be following (literally and rather more quickly), in her Dad's footsteps. She has decided to run the London Marathon after witnessing Dad run 11 Marathons for both PSPA and MNDA. Running this one together, we are hoping to raise as much loot as possible for vital research that will one day, we hope, lead to a cure for both tragic and degenerative diseases.
We would be so grateful for any donations and support you can give as we head inexorably towards the big day on April 28th.
Thank you so very much in advance.
Lucy and John xxx
