Story
Thank you so much for visiting our fundraising page. On Saturday 23rd July 2022 we are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge which will see us complete a 24.5 mile walk in the three peaks Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m) and Ingleborough (723m) in 12 hours.
We have chosen to raise money for The British Red Cross as it is a charity close to Lucy's heart- the Red Cross helped her Dad safely across to the UK during the Hungarian Uprising in 1956 and without them, who knows what would have happened. Also, the Red Cross supported Lucy's Polish Grandparents after the Second World War.
We have all been touched by the devastation currently taking place in Ukraine, and would like to do our bit to help those forced to leave their country in search of safety- no matter where in the world, past, present and future.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read our page and understanding the personal reasons behind us fundraising for this cause. Please read below for more information on The British Red Cross:
