I am walking 26 miles around London with my family to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. We hope to support this cause in memory of my grandparents and for others similarly affected by dementia. 

Over 850,000 people in the UK have dementia. Alzheimer's disease being the most common , affecting 50-75% of those diagnosed. Vascular dementia- which my grandparents suffered with- affects up to 20% of people diagnosed. Sadly there is no cure for Alzheimer's or any other type of dementia and dementia research is desperately underfunded.
