We raise awareness and funds to combat the causes of homelessness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the Autumn Wolf run on the 3rd September for The Fine & Country Foundation and in particular a local charity close to my heart  'Helping Hands' who provide soup kitchens twice a week and are constantly raising money through events and donations for homeless people in Warwickshire and Leamington Spa in particular.

I took part in a sleep out in 2015 where a group of me and my colleagues slept out in the Band stand in Leamington over night and have been looking for event to come up for me to put my name to so I could raise money for the worthy cause.

i have the pleasure of visiting the most stunning homes in the Oxfordshire area through working at Fine & country Banbury and i think myself looking that i have a house and my two children have roof over their heads and a dry bed to get into at night.

i would be most grateful of any donations you can give as i am going to be swimming through mud, climbing obstacles and i am not the greatest runner in the world so to me it is a challenge in itself.

Thank you X

About the charity

The Fine & Country Foundation has been created to help combat one of the largest social issues in the UK – homelessness. Last year, the Government estimated around 2,414 people sleep on the street on any one night across England, a rise of 36% over three years. Often the reasons for homelessness are misunderstood, with many blaming the individuals for poor life decisions and carelessness. The reality is: people become homeless for a whole range of complex and overlapping reasons that cannot be avoided, such as family breakdowns, mental or physical health problems or debts. Solving homelessness does not only involve putting a roof over people’s heads, it is also trying to tackle the root of the problem and asking the question: why did they became homeless in the first place? The Fine & Country Foundation is dedicated to bringing together all Fine & Country agents in over 300 locations worldwide to raise awareness of the causes of homelessness whilst supporting homeless charities.
