Story
On Sunday 2nd March, my husband Jim and I will be running Bath half marathon in memory of our beautiful daughter Maisie Ann Pickernell.
We will be raising money for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Bristol Children’s Hospital. The PICU looked after Maisie for 9 days where she received fantastic care from all of the staff involved in her treatment. Due to a genetic condition that could not be treated, Maisie passed away peacefully aged just 9 weeks and 4 days. Bristol Children’s Hospital provides world-class care to babies and children from Bristol, the South West of England, and in some cases the whole of the UK and overseas.
On March 14th Maisie would have turned 4 years of age, this is the 4th year running that we have raised money to support the hospital, and we plan to continue to raise money for such a worthy cause, in memory of a very very special little girl.
In memory of Maisie, we will continue supporting the hospital in recognition of the fantastic care they provided for our daughter.
If you are able to support us and the hospital, then please do so through our just giving page.
Many thanks
Love
Lucy & Jim
