Story
I haven't had a hair cut since March 2020 (pre-lockdown) since then my hair has grown considerably and I am hoping to be able to donate more than 12 inches to The Little Princess Trust.
My daughter Tessa lost her hair during her leukaemia treatment in December 2019 but due to Covid-lockdowns and staying home she wasn't too aware that she looked different to other children. Had she been going to school it would have been nice to have the option for her to have a wig.
The Little Princess Trust also fund a number of research projects into children's cancer, research that is essential to finding better treatments for childhood cancers.
From receiving hair donations, through to fitting and styling a bespoke wig, it costs the charity from £550 to provide a real-hair wig free-of-charge, to the wig recipients. They currently supply over 150 wigs every month.
