London Landmarks Half Marathon 2022 · 3 April 2022 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Having been a spectator at last year's London Marathon, I have since been inspired to challenge myself, and all for a good cause!

will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April 2022 to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. They are a fantastic charity who provide essential support to people living with memory problems and their loved ones, and it is an organisation that is close to me both personally and professionally.

I started running during the first lockdown and this will be my first official long distance race - lots of hard work is underway!

wouldn't be able to do this without your support, so thank you for your kind donations, they really mean a lot.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. £115 can buy a years' worth of weekly check-in calls for someone living with dementia, helping to combat loneliness. One person receiving these calls described them as ‘an invisible friend'.
