We provide refuge, support and information to women and CYP living with domestic abuse

Story

Hello my dudes! So on the 21st of November I’ll be climbing the equivalent of 3 of the highest buildings in the world. I’ll be attempting to do this in 3 hours (lol). I’ll be climbing the Empire State Building (1860 steps) the CN tower (2579 steps) and the Shanghai Tower (3157 steps) making that a whopping 7596 uphill steps !!!!

More importantly, I’ll be completing this challenge on behalf of GUCFS in aid of Glasgow Women’s Aid. Glasgow Women’s Aid is a charity that works to support women, children and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse in Glasgow. By providing them with essential information, temporary refuge and safety, Glasgow Women’s Aid help women and young children to escape situations of domestic abuse and support them in their recovery. 1 in 4 women in Scotland will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, and GUCFS are dedicated to helping Glasgow Women’s Aid achieve their vision of leading domestic abuse services within Glasgow.

If you have any spare pennies to sponsor me for what is going to be a mahoooosive physical challenge I would appreciate it so much! GWA is such an incredible charity that I am honoured to be supporting.

Lucy xx
