Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Lucy, alongside many of Niamh’s greatest fans, have decided to take part in this years Splash Dash for Claire House. After a past fund-raising disaster I will be keeping my feet firmly on the floor!

The Ninjas:

Lucy Knowles, Mary Bostock, Helen Heaton, Jane Byrom, Josh Byrom, Megan Byrom, Sophie Byrom, Lucy Byrom, Lauren Vaughan and Niamh’s little sister Orlaith and her little friend Nancy

This is why Claire House is so important to us…

In 2013 we welcomed our first beautiful child, a daughter we named Niamh Marie Knowles. We were so proud! However, within the first few weeks of her little life, it was found that she had an inoperable brain tumour. We made the difficult choice to turn to palliative care… enter Claire House Children’s Hospice.

We cannot thank them enough for their help and support. They helped us to make forever memories with hand-print canvases, plates (from The Potting Shed), a trip to Chester Zoo and a party when she defied all opinions and made it to being one month old.

Because of Claire House, we can look back on our time with Niamh with fondness and happiness. They helped to turn a bleak time into happy memories for us and even supported us on our second loss of Harriet Rose who was born too soon.  Even still, Claire House continue to support us with letters, cards and texts.  Now we have our rainbow baby they make sure Niamh’s legacy lives on with her.
