Story

I’ll be running in the London Half Marathon alongside my husband Wayne and my brother George. We are doing it together for RETHINK, an important mental health charity.

Personally, I’m doing it for 3 reasons:
1; my own mental health,
2; to shout out and show support to everyone else who has been effected by mental health and,
3; to give something to a charity that helps people who are in serious need of help

Many of us have had experience with depression, loneliness, addiction, anxiety, loneliness, loss or other mental health struggles (the list is endless). Not everyone has available friends, family or an environment they choose; not all is as it seems.

Life is real, so are the stresses, we all need support and help, so when I’m running and most probably breathing out my ass next week, I’m going to be thinking about this!

Hopefully my run will share some awareness and encourage you to give a smile to someone who’s having a bad day, or the benefit of the doubt to a miserable friend who is probably going through something…

If you want to chip in and donate 10 euros (or more if you can) to show your support, then you can through the just giving platform.

Thanks all xx (smiling with you)
