Story
On 16th of June I’m doing my first ever triathlon, The Lakesman Half (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run) to raise money for Eden Valley Hospice.
Eden Valley Hospice is an amazing place. After 6 years of fighting heart failure, my Grandad spent the last 20 days of his life here. The hospice provided so much love support and care to not only my Grandad but all of our family too. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived and all the staff and volunteers couldn’t have been more helpful. And we didn’t have to pay a penny, so I’d like to give something back to the hospice and raise some money so other families can receive the support like mine did. So, no matter how small, please donate to this special cause.
My grandad is my biggest sporting hero. He was a very talented fell runner who never gave up, running till he was 80, so if during my training I feel like giving up, I’ll be thinking of him as my inspiration!
