We're the Peaky Bikers - a mix of semi-elite (although stretching the definition) and decidedly amateur cyclists who are bravely taking on the Maggie's Half Everest Cycle Challenge on our local Watlington Hill.

We'll be attempting 40 reps of this mile-long 'mountain' in the Chilterns which is roughly the equivalent of climbing halfway up Everest, but hopefully a bit warmer.

This past year has been the hardest ever for people with cancer, with diagnoses and treatments delayed, and surgeries cancelled, the
impact of which will be felt for many years. Maggie's can offer people a unique form of psychological and practical support which is needed now more than ever.
