Story
My beautiful Mum passed away in March this year surrounded by her family. Mum was able to stay at home with the support of the team at Sue Ryder Manorlands hospice.
From the nurses who helped us to care for Mum, to the call handlers on the phone if we needed anything be it support or guidance for Mum or ourselves, the team were brilliant. We wanted to thank the team at Manorlands for everything that they did including the respect and dignity they gave our Mum.
We have decided as a family to take part in the 10km walk together to raise some money for the team which helped us so much. This walk is in memory of our Mum and is a night time walk to walk under the stars and remember her.
Sadly, almost all of us will experience the loss of a loved one - your support can help more people get the end-of-life and bereavement care they need and deserve. - £21 could help fund an hour of expert care and help fill another familys final days with love- £60 could provide one complementary therapy session- £145 per person could fund a Sue Ryder Nurse for a day- £500 per corporate team could fund 24 hours of Sue Ryder care. - It costs around £3,244 for someone to be cared for at home in their final days by a Sue Ryder Hospice at Home Nurse. Sue Ryders specialist teams provide expert and compassionate care, which means the end of peoples lives can be filled with friendship, family and love in their final moments together.
