Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Our JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secu Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Sepsis UK and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

As alot of our dear friends know, my dad, father to Three Grandfather to 5 HUSBAND OF 40 YEARS TO Mummy in june aged 60  was admitted into Scarborogh Hospital with a suspected kidney infection.high temperature, extreme low blood pressure, delerious four of the main signs of the symptoms of Sepsis, which claims 37,000 lives in the UK annually more than breast and bowel cancer, even scarier it can kill you in hours if not diagonosed,  Yet the Department Of Health still do not deem this bacterial infection important enough to be in basic training of our staff nurses or even junior doctor. We Aim to get the  DOH to recognize this as a medical emergency and train staff, but they will not put any money into this , so this is our role this infection kills in hours. My Dad was just 60, Fell runner marathon runner. We need to work together alongside sepsis trust UK , read the awful stories. I know 4 scarborough patients in the past 6 months to have caught or be admitted , some luckily diagnosed some unfortunately not. But what i do know the mistakes made with my dad are the reason the hospital is more aware AND SOME IMPLEMATATIONS HAVE TAKEN PLACE.

My best friend Lucy has secured a place running the london marathon for my daddy who she respected as MY FATHER AND A COACHxx

So please sponser so we CAN ACHIEVE OUR GOAL AND KEEP OUR LOVED ONES SAFE XXXX

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
