Story
Diabetes is a disease close to my heart - my son Ethan developed diabetes 4 months ago, aged 3. Ethan copes amazingly well with this disease, he has 4 injections of insulin and at least 4 finger prick blood tests every day. There is no cure for diabetes - Ethan will have to inject insulin every day for the rest of his life. He rarely complains about the imposition on his life, what an inspiration!
Those of you who know me well will know that I am not a runner, so a 10km run will not be easy for me! But 10km seems a small challenge compared to what Ethan faces on a dialy basis. Diabetes UK is a charity that funds research into diabetes and supports people living with diabetes and their families. Please help me raise money for this fantastic charity!
