Whilst I have fundraised before for Berwick Cancer cars it has only been this year that I have fully understood the impact on ones life that the charity can have. Since being diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of June I have had 5 appointments at Wansbeck, 2 at North Tyneside and 1 at the RVI, I know I will need 5 more at The Freeman’s for radiotherapy and others at Wansbeck. However I know I am extremely blessed that I have truly amazing family and friends that have helped me get there, there are many that are not so lucky, especially given the rising fuel costs. That is why this charity means so much to the people of Berwick and I know I am not alone in being truly thankful to the charity itself for all the hard work that they and their volunteers do. 

Great North Run is exactly 1 month post surgery and whilst I won’t be completing the run like I would have liked I feel blessed that I am at least going to be able to walk/run it.

So anything you could give would be greatly appreciated and please also check your boobies, I’m glad I did 😊!!! 

I have seen my consultant this week and he confirmed that it has not spread so I just need radiotherapy and then hormone drugs for 10 years (god help Martin 😅)! Couldn’t ask for more 😃!!!!
