We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Here's a little bit about why I think you should sponsor me to run TWENTY SIX POINT TWO MILES, YES THAT'S RIGHT, TWENTY SIX POINT TWO WHOLE MILES...

More than 10,000 UK men die every year from prostate cancer, which is underfunded and poorly understood. The tests for prostate cancer aren't good enough, and can't accurately tell men whether their cancer is lethally aggressive or potentially harmless. Too many men are faced with the decision to undergo treatments with life-changing side effects without knowing for certain whether treatment is even necessary.

PROSTATE CANCER UK fights to help more men survive and enjoy a better quality of life, by:

Supporting men and providing information - Their specialist nurses have time to talk and answer questions about prostate cancer and prostate problems. Their online community and one-to-one support service connects men and their families with others who know what they're going through.

Finding answers - they fund research into tests, treatments and the causes of prostate cancer.

Leading change to raise awareness and improve care - they work with the general public, the government and the NHS to raise awareness and get a better deal for men with prostate cancer.

So please dig deep and donate now!! And for those of you who fancy a good laugh come down on the 21st April and watch me whizz by!

Thanks for the support!
