Story
For those who know me well enough know I don’t like heights, in fact I’m pretty scared off heights. I went on the London Eye once and cried the entire time. So I decided the next logical thing to do is to do an abseil from the top of Liverpool Cathedral 150ft to the ground.
I completed my first ever abseil a few weeks ago, 25metres, and although I was scared, terrified, it made me feel so alive.
I have persuaded my bestest friend in the world Emma to do this with me! What a riot.
I am just about to start radio therapy treatment for a brain tumour, I’m also battling Multiple Sclerosis everyday. The opportunity to Abseil 150ft scares the s**t out of me but also I know will make me feel alive and that’s something I know I’ll keep me going.
If you have any spare pennies please sponsor me and raise some funds for The Brain Charity, a charity that supports so many under the umbrella that is a neurological condition.
There’s a so many neurological conditions, and so many people living with one or two or three everyday. Most of these battles are unseen, most of struggle you will never know. But charities like this one offer a safe haven, a place to understand, and place to be understood and a place to feel not so alone.
