Due to current circumstances, the Leeds 10K has been postponed, so this year Team Arthur are running their 10K on the day it was originally scheduled to raise vital funds for Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

We are sure that many of you are aware of our story. In October 2018, our beautiful baby boy Arthur was born. At just 21 hours old he was rushed away from us, and we were told the terrifying news that he had a life threatening heart condition which would require imminent open heart surgery. At just 8 days old Arthur received his life saving surgery, he recovered well and we were able to come home together 8 days later. Although he requires regular check ups, Arthur is a happy, healthy little boy (and quite the handful!).

We cannot thank Children’s Heart Surgery Fund for all they did to support us and Arthur during our 2 week stay, from providing equipment and accommodation to continued psychological support, as well as Arthur’s much treasured certificate and medal. CHSF made the scariest time of our lives more bearable, which is why we hope to give back so they can continue to support families like ours ❤️
