I'll keep dancing...

I'll keep dancing... · 23 September 2021
First of all, thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!
Most of you will know I am a huge Strictly fan. I fell in love with ballet at just six years old. I took salsa classes at the iconic Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden. I head-banged at metal clubs when at university. I use YouTube dance workouts to keep fit. I am always a beat behind, because I am profoundly deaf and I process sounds differently. Just like deaf actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, who is learning to actually, PROPERLY, dance on national television. It has inspired me to commit at least 15 minutes to dancing, every single day, for the whole Strictly run, right up to the final on 18 December (also my birthday!). My plan is mostly to follow YouTube videos, from Emkfit to Dance Studios - I would love to actually learn ballroom during my fundraising challenge - although I may drag some friends out dancing, too! And I want to do this in aid of the National Deaf Children's Society, which does amazing things for deaf children and their parents - I know, because my own family benefited from events that the North London branch ran when I was growing up. That support made such a difference. So please donate, even just £1, for a cause that is very close to my heart. I promise, I'll keep dancing...
