HOLY MOLEY I’m doing my first 10k this Sunday 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I’ll be running to raise money for OCD Action who are a really lovely charity and group of people. I try to be as positive as I can about my experiences with OCD because positivity is all a part of recovery, the reality is though that living with OCD can be hard and severely life limiting if not constantly managed. One of the hardest things for sufferers and their families can be the lack of understanding surrounding the condition due to incorrect stereotypes that are often floated about on telly and in the media, even I had such a warped view of what OCD actually was that I wasn’t able to speak up about my symptoms and get a diagnosis until I was in my early twenties! I hope by continuing to fundraise for OCD action and I can gradually raise awareness of what it’s like to live with OCD and other chronic conditions and encourage others to speak up and get help when it’s needed, because likelihood is there are probably loads of other people out there who are experiencing similar things. Now for the awkward part where I ask for money, kay thanks byee. PS wish me luck with the run! X
