Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

My dear Mum suffered with Alzheimer's Disease for the last years of her life; a cruel and heart-breaking affliction which took her away from us, bit by bit. But the support that she, my wonderful Dad who became her carer, and all my family got from Alzheimer's Support helped through the struggle.

I hope for a day that with funding and research, progress can be made to find a cure. In the meantime, awareness and support for those with Alzheimer's and their families is critical so they aren't left to cope alone.
