Im running for a charity which is local to me and is a brilliant cause. Edwards trust offers  a wide range of support services for bereaved families and children.

Edward Dent died aged seven years. Through the pain and grief of their loss his parents, Peter and Hilary Dent decided to try and help other families. Edward's Trust was set up in 1989 to fulfil that very personal mission.

Within two years of setting up the Trust, the first Edward House was opened in Stirling Road, Edgbaston. This provided accommodation for families whilst their child was receiving treatment at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Efforts were then focused on extending services to families who grieved the death of a child. As a result, a bereavement centre was opened in 1993
