If you've ended up on this page you must've got word that I am running the London Marathon 2023 for Macmillan! I am terrified to say the least but I know I can accomplish this challenge as I am running in memory of my two Nan's, Joan and Margaret. 

My Nanny Joan sadly died a few days before I was born to cancer, which of course added a considerable amount of stress to my family at the time. My family recalls how the Macmillan nurses supported my family during this time of crisis and the help they offered my Nan in the last moments of her life. 

Unfortunately, my Nanny Margaret also passed away due to cancer when I was a little bit older. During her battle, the Macmillan nurses were extremely supportive to my family and my Nan when she was in palliative care. The nurses considerably helped my Mum and Dad by accompanying them on visits to my Nan's care home and helping her be more comfortable in the time she had left.

My family have been through a lot of tragedy, however Macmillan provided the extra support, supporting their mental health’s as much as my Nan's physical health. The support was welcomed, and the kindness of the nurses is what my family remember during such dark times. 

Thus, I am running for Macmillan to give back to the charity that have given so much to our family. A charity close to my heart and I am honoured to tackle this challenge representing them. Please donate to my page the link is at the top, thank you!
