Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you may know that my Dad was diagnosed with Progressive Bulbar Palsy which is a form of Motor Neurone Disease (it affects the Upper Neurones initially) in October 2018.
His disease has now progressed and he is unable to speak, eat, swallow, support his neck and is slowly losing the use of his muscles throughout his body.
He has to sleep with the support of a ventilator and also has other pieces of equipment to assist him through the day, it’s so difficult for him and also my Mum who has been caring for him, (on the back of finishing her chemotherapy for her cancer last year).
This has been a tough couple of years with other things going on in our little family and we would of been lost without the support of MNDA. We want to raise awareness of this disease and raise money to support the research into future treatment.
There isn’t currently a cure for MND and only recently I have another friend who has been diagnosed with this.
Therefore, as a family of 4 we have committed to walking the combined total 1083 miles in 12 weeks. That’s the distance between Lands End to John O’Groats.
Please support us and donate anything you can, no matter how small.
Lots of Love
Lucinda, Andy, Maya and Henry xx
