We are taking part in the 2023 London Landmarks Half Marathon for The Rossendale Trust.

Lucie and David are no strangers to big races, having taken part in the Great Manchester 10k for many years so when the opportunity arose for Lucie to take part in her first Half Marathon we just had to say yes. This is the first year that the organisers have allowed wheelchair participants so we are thrilled to be part of this event and to have David and Susanne supporting Lucie to the finish line.

LLHM is known for it's amazing atmosphere - streets lined with supporters and all genres of music playing along the route as we take in the sights and landmarks of London.  Lucie loves the sensory experience of race day and there is certainly plenty to experience on this route.

All funds donated to Lucie's fundraising page will go towards the redevelopment of our Oakwood Activity meeting hub. Our current meeting space is in need of some serious 'tlc' so we plan to rebuild and improve the facilities which will be bigger in size and include a fully accessible toilet and changing place. As part of our redevelopment we will also be improving the grounds around the pond area making them more accessible for everyone who attends Oakwood and Rossendale Hall. Improving the faculties will allow us to extend our services so that more people living in our communtiy can benefit from our Oakwood Activity sessions,
